What types of businesses do you work with?
Owner-operated small businesses in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts, with particular experience in contractors, auto repair, restaurants and real estate. We also work with service companies and other industries.
Do you work with businesses outside Rhode Island?
Yes. We mainly serve Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts, including Attleboro, Fall River and Taunton. Our CPA is licensed in both states.
Do I need outsourced accounting if I already have a bookkeeper?
You may, if you're spending too much time supervising the financial side. Outsourced accounting adds monthly reconciliations, a month-end close, financial statements, QuickBooks management and tax coordination.
How does getting started work?
A short fit conversation, a guided questionnaire, a secure records request through our client portal, and a review of your books. Then we put the scope and fee in writing before any work starts.
What does small business accounting cost?
It depends on the size of the business, the condition of the books and the support you need. We set a fixed monthly fee after reviewing your current setup.
Can you clean up QuickBooks if my books are behind?
Yes. We catch up and reorganize QuickBooks when the books aren't reliable, then keep them current.
Is payroll handled by your firm?
Payroll is handled by Jette Payroll, our affiliated company, coordinated with your accounting and tax work so you have one point of contact.
Do you do one-time tax returns?
Not usually. The firm is built around ongoing monthly relationships. Individual returns are available for our business clients and their families.
How do I send you documents?
Through our secure client portal. Please don't email Social Security numbers, tax returns or bank statements, and don't send them through the website contact form.
